In reviewing the data collected through FinalForms, it was found that we had an issue with the information that was collected on the Education Benefits form. This information is used to determine how funding is calculated for many of the grants and programs that we participate in at Mt. Pleasant Public Schools. We have cleared out the information in this form and we are asking that everyone please use the link below to log back into FinalForms and make sure that all parts of the Education Benefits form are filled out. 4th week of A.L.I.C.E review. This week is C - Counter. Counter is not fighting. Counter is a strategy of last resort. Counter focuses on actions that create noise, movement, distance and distraction with the intent of reducing the shooter's ability to shoot accurately. Counter is a strategy that is taught differently based on age.High schoolers can be taught a much more aggressive strategy as a kindergarten class that will be taught to scream and run. Any chance a possible victim can restart the thinking process of the intruder could buy them critical and possible life saving seconds.
Although Counter is a last resort, teachers need to know what resources they have available and have a plan if intruder is able to enter their classroom..
Congratulations to these students for exhibiting self-direction! Students earned a book from the book vending machine!

Thank you for your support for last week's Walk-A-Thon! We raised $6,261.95! The students had a total of 1,324 laps which is equal to 331 miles! Amazing job Gators!
