Happy Administrative Professionals Day!

Thank you to Central Michigan Sustainability Partners for putting on a great event for our 3rd graders to attend and celebrate this Earth Day. #EmpowerExcellence

Current 5th graders - this is a great opportunity students can submit an application to be part of 2025 Youth Police Academy.

Good morning Fancher families,
Here is a look at this week's Fancher Flyer 4.21.25 https://secure.smore.com/n/pyf8e. Our CKH Leadworthy Character Trait is Perseverance and we are focused on Finishing Strong. Launching you with - "When you think you can't go any further, look back at how far you've come. Then, look ahead and do it again." -Anonymous

Fancher families -
We hope you are enjoying this weekend. As a reminder Fancher students begin state testing this week, attached you will find the schedule along with testing reminders. A good night sleep, eating a healthy breakfast at home or school, arriving to school on time, and trying their best are all good reminders for your student. Thanks for partnering with us. This month's CKH theme of FINISH STRONG : Perseverance is fitting for this testing time. "It always seems impossible until it is done." -Nelson Mandela

We had a great night learning more about our students' cultures and families. Fancher Falcons thank you for presenting and attending.

We hope to see Fancher families Thursday 6pm for our Cultural Night. Come and learn more about the cultures of our school community. Enter in the side door of the cafeteria.

Happy National School Librarian Day, Ms. Green!

Happy National Paraprofessional Day!

Fancher families,
There is still time to have your student sign-up to present at Fancher's Cultural Night, April 10th 6-7pm. We currently only have 3 presenters and in order to hold this event we are in need of more participation.

Thanks to Chef Jason a few of our classes enjoyed the Roving Chef experience and were able to make their own pizza this last month.

Fancher Flyer 3.19.25 https://secure.smore.com/n/59zxd0. A few reminders: please come and check Lost & Found by Thursday at Noon, items will be donated in the afternoon. Also if your child needs to take medication at school there is a form that needs to be filled out by a physician. Have a safe spring break.

We had a great time this morning having magician Cameron Zvara back from BrainBreakAcademy! He helped us focus, feel inspired, relax, and energized us!

We've had a wonderful start to the week with so many Mystery Guest Readers. Thank you to parents and community members for taking time to read to our students for reading month! Each classroom has extended the invite to families and community members to sign up to be a Mystery Reader. There is still time to come and be a reader at Fancher, even if you need to join virtually we can make it work. Reach out to your student's teacher if you are interested! #EmpowerExcellence

Thanks to a grant from the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe we had the honor of having Native American author Jessie Rencountre visit yesterday and share her book Thunder's Hair. She shared a wonderful message about being a "helper" to those around and being proud of our differences. One of the quotes from her book was, "We become the lesser version of ourselves when we solve our problems with our fists." Jessie shared how impressed she was with our Fancher students attentiveness and engagement during the assemblies. Each classroom now has a copy of the book. #FalconProud #MarchisReadingMonth

We had a great turn out at last week's Cookies & Coding night. Thanks for joining us!

March is Reading Month - Book Madness
This month students will be listening to different staff members read a book and voting for their favorite books in our book tournament. We also have a Reading Month Calendar with different activities and spirit days each day. Teachers are also hoping for Guest Mystery Readers this month to come and share a book with their class - please reach out to your child teachers if you are interested in coming in.

We launch into a new CKH theme for March. We are focused on helping students understand that courage is not a magical remedy for fear. Instead, courage is a choice to push through fear, self-doubt, and anxiety to do things that feel hard or frightening.
